Music Classes for little ones and their loved ones
About me
Hello! My name is Clare Hyland and I run Mountain Pepper Music. I am a musician, qualified primary school music teacher and mum to two little people.
I hold a Bachelor of Music and Teaching and, with more than 15 years classroom music experience, have taught countless students in London, Naarm/Melbourne and now Nipaluna/Hobart.
I teach a varied and engaging program — whether it’s African drumming, stage shows or folk music from around the world. There's nothing like the buzz of rehearsing and jamming with kids.
My Philosophy
I have been making music since I can remember. Teaching music is my passion, and I am dedicated to exposing children and their families to high-quality music and helping them explore this creative world through singing, movement, instruments and play.
Music is amazing for growing brains. Neuroscience research shows the incredible impact that learning music has on a child's development. It boosts language learning, literacy, numeracy, emotional self-regulation and social skills. It's also a beautiful way to connect and bond with your child and experience the wellbeing benefits of making music in a group.
